This is core visual for Nike’s NTK (National Team Kit) campaign for 2016, an international campaign developed by London-based design agency, Village Green. I had the pleasure of working on the creative post-production of this exciting project from the outset through to launch.
The agency was asked by Nike Brand Design to highlight Nike’s Aeroswift fabric technology through the textiles of the kit, playing with the light to accentuate this precision technology. The resulting imagery we produced led to a style-guide being rolled out to advertising agencies in all global territories. The CGI rendering of light lines and inherent movement was based on motion data captured from real athletes. I compiled the CGI-rendered light lines of varying thickness, density and texture to achieve the effect of the neon-coloured light trails. Attention to detail was my maxim for interpreting the creative vision, and I paid particular regard to how these light trails integrated with the fabrics and continued the sense of movement to demonstrate the hi-tech Aeroswift technology in Nike’s kit.
