This was one of many images I helped produce for my client, Swire Properties to be part of a book on the Opus building in Hong Kong. Frank Gehry’s first residential building in Asia was designed to be a building of lasting beauty for generations. At the time of the photo shoot, the uncompleted building was still covered with scaffolding and tarpaulin and surrounded by construction paraphernalia. I took on the time-consuming task of retouching out the all these obstructions as well as building in finishing details that were yet to be constructed. With limited design cues and references for this level of detail, I worked closely with Winkreative’s art director, Petek Sketcher, and the client to ensure the elements I added in were true to the architectural concept.
