Designed by Danish architect, Jørn Utzon, the award-winning Sydney Opera House is one of the world’s most distinctive buildings. Visiting this landmark was something I had always wanted to do and it was immensely rewarding to take this shot despite it being a disappointingly gloomy day. Seeing this incredible structure, I wanted to bring out the strikingly minimalist shape of the ‘shells’ and immediately knew it would require gentle contrast enhancement. For the post-production of this image, I worked on colour adjustment and enhancing the contrast on both the raw file and after processing.
